I am passionate about supporting and empowering individuals through every step of their journey towards authenticity and self-discovery. My goal is to create a strong, trusting allyship that centers your experience and fosters a judgement-free zone for self-compassion, exploration and growth. Together, we will dive into your unique challenges – whether that be current life stressors and transitions, past traumas, relational challenges or career stress – and cultivate tools to work toward living as your most authentic, empowered self.
I have experience working with those who struggle with minority-related stress, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD and chronic illness. I use a multitude of evidence-based, relational and trauma-informed approaches including internal family systems, psychodynamic theory and brain spotting to tailor each session to your individual needs.
I strive to take an approach that is client-centered, collaborative, anti-oppressive and culturally-aware. I use my professional and personal experience to create an environment that is sensitive to the unique challenges of intersectional identities and individuals who are navigating the professional workplace. Whether you are struggling with figuring out how to navigate competitive workplace dynamics, or a high-pressured environments, I am here to support you in figuring out how to grow.
Our work will lead to helping you discover how to be present with yourself and work towards a more authentic experience that is aligned with your personal and professional goals. In working with people from all different backgrounds, I have gained experience and knowledge regarding women’s issues, BIPOC issues, gender and sexuality, chronic health issues and HIV/AIDS.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Public Health from the University of South Carolina and I am currently working toward my Master’s degree in Social Work at the Ohio State University. As a part of my MSW internship, I work under the supervision of a licensed, psychodynamically-oriented clinical social worker, and I am committed to providing the best care possible. If you feel that we would be a good fit, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to our work together.
